DESCRIPTION:Admin:  Non residential. Bring a packed lunch each day. Tea & Coffee will be available. \nStart Time: 0845 for 09:00 both days     Finish Time: 1700 both days \nOutline: \nThe Club Instructor (Airgun) course is a techniques course in air rifle shooting in the standing position and in deliberate air pistol shooting. The course is especially recommended to current NSRA YPS Tutors in Air Rifle or Pistol who wish to instruct in the alternate air discipline or to develop their skills as air rifle & pistol instructors. The course fee includes an NSRA course handbook and certification (valid for 5 years). \n  \nEssential Precursors: \nTo qualify as a Club Instructor on completion of this course you must: (A) hold one of the following range management qualifications: NSRA YPS Tutor’s Diploma in an airgun discipline or NSRA RCO\, and (B) you must either be a Life or Annual member of the NSRA or hold a current adult appointment in The Scout Association or the Cadet Forces. \nOther NSRA members or holders of Scout or Cadet Forces adult appointments with substantial experience in the safe handling of firearms may also undertake the course and on completion will be awarded an Airgun Techniques certificate which can be upgraded to a Club Instructor licence on obtaining one of the qualifications listed above. \nTopics Covered: \nIntro & Organisation of the sport\, Safety\, Health & Law\, Equipment\, Position and Stance\, Breathing\, Grip\, Aiming\, Trigger Control\, Follow Through\, Preparation for Shooting\, Training & Coaching. \nPDF Download \nWord Download \n

SUMMARY:Scout Inter County Team Airgun Championships
DESCRIPTION:The 26th annual Inter-County Team Shooting Championships for Scouts.  \nDisciplines: Air Rifle\, Air Pistol \nFee: The cost per team will be £125.00 per team plus £12.50 per travelling reserve \nDeadline: Entries will close on Tuesday 23rd March or earlier if range capacity is reached. Block entries (i.e. with some or all names to follow after a selection event) are permitted but full details should follow as soon as practicable and by Monday April 6th save for “last minute” substitutions due to illness etc. Entries will be acknowledged by email. \nCompetition Format \nThe range will be available on Saturday  (10th April)\, principally for training and practice. The match is scheduled for Sunday. \nThe competition will consist of all the members of the team (8 persons per team) shooting both air pistol and air rifle and the aggregate score for both will decide the Championship Trophy winners.
