Vacancies regularly come up within the County. We have many types of opportunities from supporting, leading and managing adults through to administration or leading the development and delivery of adventurous activities, events or specific projects. Whilst the majority are volunteer roles there are some staff vacancies that become available both in the county and at a national level.
If none of the positions advertised are suitable for you, then still please get in touch if you’re interested in volunteering. We may have not yet realised that your skills are exactly what we need!
The majority of the vacancies within Scouting are volunteer roles. All of the volunteer roles are vital in helping us provide the most outstanding development opportunities to literally thousands of young people.

Although Scouting is delivered almost entirely by volunteers, we have a small part-time staff team in Shropshire to assist administratively and in other ways. Just like our volunteers, these roles are great ways to help us make a difference. The Scout Association also has a number of paid employees at the national level working in a variety of areas.
